strange shorts on Sunday morning

"I will die happy if anyone remembers this, because I think I hallucinated it. It was a live-action animated short that was broadcast on the East coast right before Davey and Goliath, early on weekend mornings when I was a kid, which is quite a looooong time ago (the mid-'60's). The crux of what I recall is, a pair of scissors skated in on one blade and, after dancing around a bit, cut out a little dog from a piece of folded white paper, and the dog became animated, and interacted with some other items on the table, maybe a ball of string and things like that? It only had music, no voices. I think it may have been a 15-minute deal."
I hope it's alright to do this.I'm going to tell this person, anyway this is a blog post about a cartoon I barely recall, but realy want info on.I agree with their sentiments.I saw it in the early 70's.It haunts me

Actually that does sound vaguely familiar. Wish I could recall more but right now my mind is full of physics and chemistry formulas relating to sustainable biofuel production.

Thanks. Well, sort of. I mean it is all well and good and worthwhile and all that but you still have to take some time off to relax.

I'd rather not martyr myself over it all. I'd rather be able to enjoy the achievement when it is done.

That's why threads like this are great, you get to remember the great stuff that they used to have on tv before it became such a brain sucking black hole of moronic rehashes and cheap plots.

Speaking of which, when I saw the title of this the first time I thought for a moment of people waking up to find themselves dressed in someone elses "strange shorts" after a rather wild saturday night. Flashbacks to me college and band days......

That's very sweet of you Anni,

I do hope quite a few people can feel a sense of achievement if the efforts we are working on succeed, which is really just a financial question of finding the right financing sources at this point as all of the known technical points have been solved.

There is also the effort at TheRealmsofLegend.com which most people who read this tribe will probably find interesting. It will soon be hosting a comic strip that explores the fantasy realms of that setting while also incorporating educational and environmental messages similar in many ways to some of the great short bits we used to see on TV.

At the very least it should make a lot of people feel better about there being real options to make changes when there are so many people trying to convince everyone that things are hopeless and there is nothing they can do to influence where we are all heading.
