Does anyone else remember this 70's cartoon? I used to watch it in the later afternoon after school. At the time it was me & my best friends fave after school show- we though it was quite funny, though I'm sure much of the humour is quite dated and would seem silly at best.

Fri, April 22, 2005 - 12:28 PMSad: I didn't have to listen to the RealAudio sample of the theme song for it to get firmly implanted in my head today... -

Fri, April 22, 2005 - 12:30 PMFunny. That tune has been stuck in my head, too, since I first watched the show. -

Re: Wait till your father gets home
Fri, April 22, 2005 - 2:53 PMYes, and we both have the "wait til your father gets home" theme song implanted in our brains for the rest of our lives. Could this mean that early exposure to obscure 70's cartoon themes creates an unquenchable thirst? -

Re: Wait till your father gets home
Fri, April 22, 2005 - 9:56 AMDoesn't the daughter on WTYFGH look a lot like Meg from Family Guy? -

Re: Wait till your father gets home
Fri, April 22, 2005 - 10:36 AMCorrect me if I'm wrong, but that show was aimed at adults. I seem to remember an episode about the daughter deciding to go braless and the dad freaking out about it. -

Re: Wait till your father gets home
Fri, April 22, 2005 - 11:18 AMYes, it was definitely geared more toward an adult audience. I believe that it aired in the early evening just before adult prime time programming. -

Re: Wait till your father gets home
Fri, April 22, 2005 - 11:52 AMI definitely remember it being on at like 7pm around '77 to '79 (must have been in syndication) in the LA area. Have no idea what time it aired in it's original run. But I watched it nearly every night during the years I mentioned. -

Re: Wait till your father gets home
Sun, April 24, 2005 - 11:32 AMa classic that i honestly *do* remember from my childhood! i know one of the voice actors was pretty famous, but i can't remember off the top of my head who it was (i want to say Tom Bosley, of Happy Days fame...) but i'm too lazy to look it up heh heh. -

It was indeed Tom Bosley. However, it first aired from '72-'74. (I was pretty sure I had remembered it being much earlier than '77.) -

Re: Wait till your father gets home
Mon, April 25, 2005 - 10:08 AMIt was on in syndication, in LA at least, in the pre-prime time evenings during the week. I'm sure it was syndicated as it was on every weeknight. Sorry if I wasn't clear before.... -

Re: Wait till your father gets home
Tue, April 26, 2005 - 5:32 AMI'm sorry Sandy. I didn't mean to indicate that you weren't clear. I meant more that I was just a little confused at first. I figured you were right. For it to be in Syndication that much later sounds about right. I think I was more a case of trying to clarify it to myself.

Re: Wait till your father gets home
Thu, May 5, 2005 - 1:18 AMI'd agree...they used quite a lot of celebs to do guest voices in the series
Don Knotts, Phyllis Diller and Rich Little were among them
This was the "King of the Hill" of its time

Re: Wait till your father gets home
Tue, June 5, 2007 - 2:11 PMI used to watch it all time time when I was a kid. But after all those years, I forgot most of the details until I saw it on Cartoon Network about nine or so years ago. It turned out to be just as good a show as I remembered it being.
